How it all began

Dauntless Stories is an independent comic publisher. Marcus Jimenez started it in 2021 to put out bold fantasy, sci-fi, and genre books, the kind bigger houses usually pass on.

We work with creators at every stage, from first-timers to writers and artists you already know. The common thread is nerve. Every book takes a swing at something.

What we publish

We pick formats that fit the story. Our graphic novellas run 50 to 96 pages and ship with extras like page breakdowns and layouts. When a book wants both prose and art, we publish illustrated prose novellas that put the two side by side.

Project Greenlight

Greenlight is our in-house crowdfunding home for new creators. Readers back projects directly and get close to the work while it’s being made, through live Q&As and page-by-page breakdowns. It’s how we get books off the ground that might not happen anywhere else.

Who’s behind it

Marcus Jimenez founded Dauntless and runs it. Brent Fisher, a published comic writer and editor, leads the creative side. We believe storytelling is an act of connection, so we take risks and make room for voices the industry tends to overlook.
